MEET THE JEWELRY MAKER
Rachel Curwen is a jewelry designer and maker based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, who focuses on creating connection and healing through her unique pieces. Her jewelry is a touch whimsical, Bohemian, and feminine with soft hues and pops of bold color. She is highly selective and intentional with her gemstone choices, making her products based on the stone’s metaphysical properties, in addition to their color, shape, and style.
When she was a child, Rachel used to watch her mother, a stained glass artist, play with colors and light while creating her own unique designs. She’s followed in her mother’s creative footsteps, letting go of rigid boundaries and taking design risks with unusual shapes and color matches.
Rachel has been making jewelry for more than fifteen years. She finds deep fulfillment in creating one-of-a-kind pieces, intentionally designing for people based on their spiritual, emotional and physical needs. For Rachel, making jewelry for someone is beautifully intimate and gives her great purpose.
REIKI PRACTITIONER, JEWELRY DESIGNER + MAKER
In addition to being a jewelry designer and maker, Rachel is also a master-level Reiki practitioner. Reiki is a hands-on healing modality in which the practitioner channels vibrational energy to help remove blocks in energy fields, auras, chakras, and meridians.
These blockages can be created due to chemicals, nutritionally deficient food, negative thought patterns, fear, trauma, and more. Reiki heals the energetic pathways for spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental balance.
Rachel’s experience as a Reiki practitioner, in combination with her knowledge of the metaphysical properties of crystals, has helped her design specially tailored and meaningful pieces of jewelry, catering to the specific needs of others through intentionally selected Reiki-infused gemstones.
